The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed, on Wednesday, its sincere condolences and sympathy to the Republic of Azerbaijan following the crash of a passenger plane.
The ministry said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "It expresses its sincere condolences and sympathy to the friendly Republic of Azerbaijan, government and people, following the crash of an Azerbaijan Airlines passenger plane, during its flight from the capital, Baku, to the city of Grozny, which resulted in many victims and injuries."
It affirmed that the Republic of Iraq stands "with Azerbaijan in this difficult circumstance," wishing "a speedy recovery for all the injured."
It renewed its solidarity "with the families of the victims in this painful ordeal."
