The Federal Integrity Commission revealed on Tuesday details of the arrest warrant issued to a former MP from Nineveh province, indicating that the accused received the salaries of the staff of guards, despite the fact that they are missing after the control of the province by ISIS terrorist gangs.
"The judge of the Nineveh Court of Inquiry on integrity issues issued an arrest warrant against a former MP from Nineveh province, based on the provisions of article 340 of the Penal Code in the criminal case concerning the receipt of the salaries of the staff of guards, despite the fact that they are missing after ISIS terrorist gangs took control of the province," said a statement from the Commission's Investigation Department, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
"Article (340) of the Penal Code stipulates that any employee or public servant who deliberately harms the funds or interests of the person in which he or she works or relates to him or her shall be punished by imprisonment by virtue of his or her employment or the funds of the persons assigned to him," the statement added.
