The spokesman for the Ministry of Transport, Maitham Al-Safi, confirmed today, Thursday, the receipt of 13 modern aircraft as part of the air fleet modernization plan, indicating the existence of a comprehensive plan to enhance air transport capabilities and keep pace with the latest international standards.
Al-Safi said in a statement to the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The received aircraft include 6 Boeing Max aircraft, two Dreamliner (Boeing) aircraft, and 5 Airbus aircraft."
He added, "The ministry aims to receive 31 modern aircraft by 2027," stressing that "this project comes within the framework of a comprehensive strategy and plan to enhance air transport capabilities and keep pace with the latest international standards."
He concluded by saying: "The plans are proceeding according to the specified timetables, reflecting the ministry's keenness to develop the infrastructure of the aviation sector and provide high-quality services to travelers."
