The Ministry of Transport announced Today, Friday that an earthquake was recorded in Sulaymaniyah Governorate.
“The Ministry's seismic observatories in the General Authority for Meteorology and Seismic Monitoring recorded an earthquake this morning with a magnitude of (3.7) and 13 km west of Kalar district of Sulaymaniyah province and it was felt by the citizens of the area,” the Ministry stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
The Meteorological Authority called on citizens to "take caution, avoid rumors and false news, and abide by the seismic recommendations issued by the General Authority for Meteorology and Seismic Monitoring.
