The Chinese ambassador to Iraq, Cui Wei, affirmed Thursday that the Imam Hussein’s Holy Shrine is making tremendous efforts to serve the Iraqis.
Wei said in a statement followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "During my visit to the holy city of Karbala, I exchanged views with the representative of the religious authority, Sheikh Abdul-Mahdi Al-Karbalai, on how to develop relations and cooperation between us to deliver our voice on achieving unity and solidarity between the two countries."
He added, "Through the meeting, I felt that Sheikh Al-Karbalai is a very wise person and I learned a lot from him," explaining, "This is my first visit to the city of Karbala, and I found the tremendous efforts exerted by the holy shrine to serve the Iraqis."
