The Meteorological Authority clarified the severity of the expected dust storm, while setting the date of its demise.
Director of Meteorological Forecasting, Amer Al-Jabri, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that Iraq will witness a wave of dust and an increase in dust, according to the forecasts of the Meteorological Department, which prepared its report, noting that the country is affected by the air rise coming from the eastern Mediterranean, which begins this afternoon".
He pointed out that "the weather will be at noon on Sunday from clear to dusty, and there will be an increase in dust, especially that starts from the western sections," noting that "this leads to a decrease in temperatures with this high, which reaches from 30 to 40 km per hour.".
He explained that "on Monday, the situation will become more severe, which will reach 50 km per hour," noting that "the northern region will be affected in both Sulaymaniyah and Erbil, with a decrease in temperatures from 4 to 5 degrees.".
He added that this dust storm will gradually disappear on Tuesday morning, and the depression will continue according to the fluctuations of the weather.
