Baghdad - INA - Ward Abdul Amir
The Meteorological Authority announced today, Sunday, the weather for the coming days of this week, while it expected a dust storm starting next Wednesday .
The media director of the Meteorological Authority Amer Al-Jabri told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The temperatures will rise during the current week as a result of the deepening of the seasonal thermal depression that formed on the Indian lands," noting that "the rise in the current and cold air masses coming from the Mediterranean affected the atmosphere, This led to a decrease in temperatures in the past days, compared to the rise witnessed in June last year.”
He pointed out that "the authority noted the rise in temperatures at the end of June as a result of the decrease in air masses coming from the Mediterranean Sea and the deepening of the low heat season."
He added that "the southern governorates have reached 50 degrees, and the northern regions will also have higher temperatures, but they are not affected, as is the case in the southern regions, due to the presence of vegetation and trees."
