Detachments of the drug department in Kirkuk Province announced the arrest of eight traffickers, promoters and abusers of drugs in the province, including a woman.
The Director of the Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances Department, Brigadier General Raouf Abdel Karim, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA) today, Friday: "With the direct supervision of Kirkuk Governorate Police Commander, Brigadier General Kawa Gharib Abdul Rahman, and with the support of the Director General of Narcotics in the Ministry of Interior, the drug department detachments managed to arrest eight Drug dealers, including a woman.
He added that "legal measures were taken in accordance with judicial orders, investigations were conducted, and they were referred to the Judiciary to receive their just punishment in accordance with Articles (28 - 32) of the Anti-Narcotics Law."
