A security delegation headed by Al-Shammari arrives in Salah al-Din

A military delegation headed by the Deputy Commander of Joint Operations, Lieutenant General Abdul-Amir Al-Shammari, Commander of the Ground Forces and Director of Central Operations in the Popular Mobilization, arrived today, Sunday, in Salah al-Din Governorate.

 A statement of joint operations received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), said that "the delegation visited the headquarters of the Commandos Brigade in the Hassan area in Hamrin district and held a meeting with the commander of Salah al-Din operations and the commanders of formations in the army and the popular mobilization.”

The statement added that "the visit aims to assess the security situation in the eastern regions of the province and work to return the displaced villages to their areas of residence," noting that "during the visit, the delegation met with a number of tribal sheikhs in the area."

 The sheikhs expressed their appreciation for the security efforts exerted in the area, calling for the return of the people of 13 villages in the Al-Aith areas after they were displaced from them in 2014.
