Ministry of Oil counts its completed works in Salah El-Din Refinery

    The North Refineries Company affiliated to the Ministry of Oil, today, Thursday, counted its achievements in the Salah al-Din Refinery, while it announced the preparation of all equipment to start the reconstruction of the North Refinery.

    The General Director of the North Refineries Company, Qassem Abdul Rahman Hussein, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the company has achieved several works, including the reconstruction and rehabilitation of the Salah al-Din 1 refinery with a capacity of 70 thousand barrels with all its production units, which include the atmospheric distillation unit, the hydrogenation unit of light distillates, and the gasoline improvement unit. ".
    He added, "The company has also completed the reconstruction and rehabilitation of the Salah El-Din 2 refinery with a capacity of 70,000 barrels per day," noting that "the atmospheric distillation unit and the low pressure part of the light distillate hydrogenation unit have been completed and operated."

    Hussein continued, "Work is ongoing to reconstruct and rehabilitate part of the high-pressure hydrogenation unit of light distillates and the gasoline improvement unit, in addition to the Isomerization unit," explaining that "the current refining capacity of the Salah al-Din refinery is 140,000 barrels per day."
    He stressed that "among the works carried out outside the refinery are the reconstruction and rehabilitation of 6 steam boilers, in addition to the service units in the energy of Salah al-Din, as well as the reconstruction and rehabilitation of tanks and their systems in Salah al-Din refinery 1 and 2," noting that "work is continuing to rehabilitate the damaged tanks, and construct New tanks, as well as the rehabilitation of industrial water-handling units in the Salah El-Din Refinery, and the continuation of work to prepare all equipment in the North Refinery Department in order to start a reconstruction campaign soon.
