The Ministry of Interior affirmed on Saturday that it will not compromise on the interests of Iraq and its noble people, but rather is proceeding with confident steps toward achieving its aspirations.

"Everyone must realize that honesty is a tongue that speaks the truth, and one of the signs of moving toward a promising path is the presence of fair-minded people who have not compromised at the expense of the nation's interests and stability," said the ministry in a statement - received by the Iraqi News Agency - INA.

The Ministry of Interior followed up "on the generous remarks made by the Chairman of the Parliamentary Integrity Committee, Ziyad al-Janabi, in his talk about the leadership of the Ministry of Interior, its sacrifices, and what it has provided during its journey, which has defied difficulties."

The statement emphasized that "the Ministry continues to pursue two approaches: the first is to provide security for all citizens across Iraq, and the second is to keep pace with the developments taking place in all areas of its work. The success of its projects has become a model to be emulated in many developed countries.

"Other countries visit the country to view the projects implemented by the Ministry of Interior," according to the statement, adding that "The ministry has proven on more than one occasion that it will not compromise on the interests of Iraq and its noble people, but rather is proceeding with confident steps toward achieving its aspirations, far removed from all those who seek to deny the sacrifices of its men, whose pure blood continues to perfume the soil of Iraq."

The Ministry reiterated its "emphasis on being a pioneer in serving citizens, embodying noble deeds, and committed to the application of justice."
