A joint security operation has been launched south of Samarra, the Popular Mobilization Authority (PMA) said Tuesday.
"The security forces, with the participation of the 3rd Regiment in the Salah al-Din Operations Command of the Popular Mobilization Forces, carried out a security operation south of Samarra," the agency said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
"The operation included a raid and search within Al-Mutassim area south of Samarra in search of remnants of ISIS and the destruction of its hideouts," it said.
