Samarra operations prepares special security plan for Muharram

The Commander of Samarra Operations, Major General Ali Mashjal Al-Maliki announced on Saturday, the preparation of a security plan for the holy month of Muharram.

Major General Al-Maliki told the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that the leadership has prepared a security plan for all districts affiliated with the Samarra Operations Command (Dujail, Balad, and Samarra District), noting that this plan will be simple to secure protection for visitors and all citizens in these districts.

He added that the plan will be jointly implemented by the leadership of the Fourth Police Division, as well as the Commandos Brigade in the Samarra Operations Command and the Popular Mobilization Forces.

Regarding the operations carried out by Samarra Operations Command, al-Maliki said, the search and pursue operations of ISIS terrorists gangs, hideouts and explosives are still continuing, as well as the searches for wanted persons, adding that the Operations Command arrested several wanted persons in accordance with Article 4 of anti-terrorism law , as well as other various legal articles.
