A search operation has been launched in southwestern Samarra, the Popular Mobilization Authority (PMA) said Sunday.
"The Samarra Operations Command carried out a search and security operation in the Albu Zeid area southwest of Samarra," the Authority said in a statement received by the Iraqi news agency INA.
"After receiving intelligence information of a presence of a movement of ISIS elements, a command force launched a survey and search of the area with the aim of preventing the infiltration of terrorists and in order to preserve the security of the citizen," the statement said.
