The Directorate of Military Intelligence DMI announced on Tuesday the arrest of eight terrorists in Anbar and Maysan provinces, according to a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
DMI said in a statement, obtained by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): “According to accurate intelligence information from the intelligence divisions of the 5th, 7th and 22nd divisions, the heroes of the Military Intelligence Directorate carried out several pre-emptive operations in different areas of Anbar and Maysan provinces in cooperation with the security forces holding the land.”
“These operations resulted in the arrest of (8) terrorists wanted by the Iraqi judiciary according to the provisions of Article 4 (terrorism), including those belonging to ISIS terrorist gangs in the districts of Rawa, al-Qaim and al-Rutba, and the tribal conflict in the districts of al-Majar al-Kabir and Qalaat Saleh,” it added.
“The accused were referred to the judicial authority after they were handed over to the relevant authorities in accordance with the applicable legal contexts,” it said.
