Al-Fayyad: Cohesion among the armed forces produced a unique victory over Daesh

The head of the Popular Mobilization Authority (PMA) said Friday that cohesion among the armed forces has produced a unique victory over ISIS.

"On this day, we remember our martyrs from the leaders of victory and all the martyrs who gave their lives in defense of the homeland," Al-Fayyad said during his speech on the fourth anniversary of the liberation of Iraq from the desecration of terrorism, which was followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
 
 
"The experience of the Popular Mobilization was accompanied by the war against ISIS and the victory over terrorism," he said.
 
Below is the text of the speech:
 
In the name of Allah the most Merciful, the most Compassionate
 
“Allah has made it but a message of hope for you, and to reassure your hearts with it. There is no victory except from Allah the Mighty, the Wise.”

Allah almighty has truly spoken.

On this day, the fourth anniversary of victory-Day against ISIS, that was achieved by the arms of the people. This challenge, which provoked all Iraqis and led our supreme authority of His Eminence al- Sistani, may God save him, issue the Fatwa of the Sufficient Jihad.
 
On this day we remember our martyrs, the heroes, the martyrs of the homeland, the martyrs of all the security forces, and the martyrs of the leaders of victory.
All our security forces, our valiant army, the forces of the Ministry of Interior, the Federal Police, the counter-terrorism agency, all the various Security institutions contributed to this victory. 
 
 The experience of ISIS has produced a pattern of cohesion, cooperation and solidarity between our armed forces, which many countries have failed to achieve, but achieved in Iraq, so they were able to achieve victory and remove this great burden.
 
Popular mobilization forces which include all Iraqis and in all its diversity were able to model true coexistence. The popular mobilization today is the protector of this country from many crises and challenges and represents an honest model that has responded to the nation and the authority.
