The new Iranian President, Ebrahim Raisi, stressed that the Popular Mobilization represents a great support for security and progress in Iraq.
He said in a statement for the media office of the Popular Mobilization Authority, that "the head of the Popular Mobilization Authority Falih Al-Fayyad met the new Iranian President, Ibrahim Raisi, on the sidelines of the Iraqi delegation's participation on the occasion of the assumption of his duties.
Al-Fayyad expressed his congratulations to the new Iranian president, and his aspiration for further development in the relations between the two friendly countries and peoples.
For his part, Raisi affirmed the depth of relations between the Islamic Republic and the Republic of Iraq, noting the role of the Popular Mobilization and the Iraqi security forces in fighting terrorism, and that the Popular Mobilization represents a great support for security and development in Iraq.
