Defense Minister Juma Enad called on today, Friday, the security forces to vote freely.
"Enad conducted an inspection tour of the electoral centers and was briefed on the progress of the special voting process," said the media office of the Ministry of Defense in a statement, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
He addressed the fighters by saying, "Vote freely."
It’s to be mentioned that, polling stations opened today, Friday for special voting at 7:00 a.m. Baghdad time in the first early parliamentary elections in the country since 2003.
The special vote includes members of the security services, prisoners and IDPs, while the general polling will take place next Sunday throughout Iraq, in which 3,249 candidates, 21 coalitions, and 109 parties are competing.
