Chaldean church urges Iraqis to seriously participate in elections

    The Chaldean Church urged On Sunday, on the serious participation in the elections.
     
    The Chaldean Patriarch in Iraq, Cardinal Louis Raphael Sako, said, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "We are one week away from the Iraqi Parliament elections and The Chaldean Church joins its voice with the voice of His Eminence, the supreme authority, Ali al-Sistani, in urging to conscious and responsible participation, as it is the safest way to cross the country to a better future than before.”
     
    Sako expressed his hope that "the voting, with a sound mechanism, will constitute a pivotal turning point for Iraq, and a model at the level of the region."
     
    He called on "the noble voters to evaluate the march of former MPs and current candidates, and not to be deceived by promises and gifts, and not to sell the country to  corrupt people, and to vote consciously and responsibly for the one who is best in serving the country and the people."
