PM: Iraq refuses to enter the war, firm in providing relief to Palestine and Lebanon

    PM Muhammed S. Al-Sudani stressed on Tuesday Iraq's rejection of entering into war.

    Al-Sudani chaired the 47th regular session of the Cabinet, during which the latest developments in the country, and important files in various fields were discussed, in addition to the progress of implementing the government program with its working priorities, according to a statement by the PM's Media Office - received by the Iraqi News Agency - INA.

    The Cabinet followed up on the developments and conditions in the region according to the statement, where the Prime Minister confirmed that "the message sent by the Zionist entity to the UN Security Council represents a pretext and argument to attack Iraq, and to achieve the entity's ongoing efforts to expand the war in the region."

    He stressed that "Iraq rejects these threats, and that the decision of war and peace is a decision in the hands of the Iraqi state, and no party is allowed to confiscate this right," noting "Iraq's rejection of entering into war, in addition to the steadfastness in the principled position to end it and seeking to provide relief to the Palestinian and Lebanese peoples."

    According to the statement, the Prime Minister directed that an emergency meeting of the National Security Ministerial Council be held today to follow up on developments and confirm the Iraqi position.
