Supreme Media Committee for Census: Preliminary Results Expected Within 48 Hours

    The Supreme Media Committee for the Census confirmed on Wednesday that the Operations Center at the Ministry of Planning continues to receive data, with preliminary results expected to be announced within 48 hours of receiving the data.

    Haider Majeed, a member of the committee, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA), “From the early morning hours, there has been a concerted effort by all state institutions, private agencies, and the staff of the Ministry of Planning to ensure the success of this national exercise.” 

    He pointed out that enumerators have commenced the process of stamping, confirming, and sending data to the central data center.

    “The Operations Center at the Ministry of Planning is actively working to receive data, tracking the arrival of information from every province, region, districtand village across Iraq,” he added. 

    Majeed noted the presence of a communications center with over 100 employees working around the clock to answer inquiries from citizens and enumerators regarding the census process.

    He further stated, “The process will continue today and tomorrow in all regions of Iraq without exception.”

    Majeed elaborated that the operations room is well-equipped with devices, large screens, equipment, and computers, supported by a highly trained staff to receive and transfer data to other centers. 

    He emphasized that this data will be critical for the Ministry of Planning, and preliminary results will be announced within 48 hours once the data collection is completed.
