Iraqi government spokesman Bassem al-Awadi emphasized on Wednesday that citizens' compliance with the ban and active participation in the census reflect the Iraqi people's respect for the law and their dedication to showcasing the nation's positive image.

Speaking to the Iraqi News Agency (INA), Al-Awadi said, “The sight of Iraqi citizens adhering to curfew measures, the emptiness of cities, and their active participation in the census registration demonstrate their respect for the law, their understanding and support of state procedures, and their recognition of the vital importance of these measures for the advancement of Iraq.”

He indicated that Iraqis desire stability, comprehend the necessities of development, and support the state's pathway through the effective implementation of its procedures.

“This Iraqi commitment underscores that the state and the law are highly respected by the Iraqi people, and it highlights their desire for their country and state to progress,” he added, noting that “there is a keen dedication to presenting a bright, strong, and disciplined image of the state to other countries and their citizens.”
