A delegation from FIFA and the participating clubs in the FIFA Club World Cup Qatar 2024 concluded a successful week-long visit to the State of Qatar to assess the readiness of the 974 and Lusail Stadiums, which will host the international tournament, as well as the training grounds and accommodation facilities, in conjunction with the approach of hosting the football event, which will be held from 11 to 18 December.
Roberto Grassi, Head of Youth Championships at FIFA, said: "Qatar has world-class sports facilities and extensive experience that is not limited to organizing and hosting football tournaments, but also includes many other sports."
He added: "The State of Qatar has been able to build high-level capabilities and extensive experience in organizing major sporting events, including the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, which has achieved impressive success on all levels. There is no doubt that the sustainable legacy of the global tournament is still before us and we see it in the modern stadiums built according to the highest international standards and specifications."
The FIFA Club Confederations Cup Qatar 2024 will feature the winning clubs from six continents competing for three titles, with one of them reach the podium and winning the title of the best club in the world.
