Iraq and UAE discuss joint parliamentary role

     Parliament Speaker Mohammed Al-Halbousi and Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan agreed on the importance of strengthening the role of Arab parliaments in adopting the issues of their peoples.

    The Media Office of the Speaker of the House of Representatives said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "House Speaker Muhammad Al-Halbousi, accompanied by a parliamentary delegation, met the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, at Beach Palace," noting that "The meeting discussed the brotherly relations between the two brotherly countries, and ways to develop cooperation and joint coordination, especially in the parliamentary fields. 

    He added, "The meeting dealt with emphasizing the importance of strengthening the role of Arab parliaments in adopting the issues of their peoples and achieving their interests and aspirations for development, progress and prosperity, as well as their role in consolidating effective Arab solidarity to confront the common challenges witnessed in the region.
