Ministry of Foreign Affairs – MOFA announced the formation of a committee of the foreign ministers of Iraq, Jordan and France in preparation for the upcoming Baghdad conference.
Foreign Minister Fouad Hussein chaired the meeting of the foreign ministers of the participating countries to follow up the outcomes of Baghdad Con for Cooperation and Partnership, at the headquarters of the Permanent Representation of the Republic of Iraq at the United Nations in New York, said the Foreign Ministry spokesman Ahmed Al-Sahhaf in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
The meeting occurred in the presence of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of France, the Assistant Secretary-General of the United Nations for Political and Peace-building Affairs, the Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, the Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and the High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy of the European Union.
"The meeting concluded with an agreement to form a ministerial committee from the foreign ministers of Iraq, Jordan and France to complete the preparations related to the agenda and objectives of the upcoming conference to be held in the Jordanian capital, Amman,” included Al-Sahhaf.
