The Minister of Water Resources, Mahdi Rashid Al-Hamdani, discussed with Syrian Prime Minister Hussein Arnous, today, Friday, the unifying of positions between the two countries on the water file.
During the meeting, the importance of the two countries' water resources was emphasized, the current water situation and the impact of climate changes were discussed, and the importance of coordinating and unifying positions to reach a unified view that guarantees the rights of the two countries for the waters of the Tigris and Euphrates rivers in a fair and equitable manner in accordance with international norms and conventions.
