President Salih and US Schenker discuss Turkish troops in Syria

    INA – BAGHDAD

    President Barham Salih and US Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs David Schenker discussed the political development in the regional and international areas and the Turkish troops in Syria.

    Salih asserted the necessity of supporting Iraq to maintain the security and stability in the country under the current circumstances and to enhance the international cooperation to counter terrorism and end it.

    Both have discussed the importance of making sure to avoid and humanitarian crisis in the areas of conflicts in Syria.
