The Ministry of Interior announced, on Tuesday, the arrest of drug dealers in Maysan.
A statement by the ministry received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) stated that "a force from the First Regiment/Fourth Brigade of the Rapid Response Division Command in the Ministry of Interior was able to arrest a wanted person under the provisions of Article 27 of the Narcotics Law in Maysan Governorate."
The statement added that "the arrest operation was carried out in cooperation with the Anti-Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances Division in the governorate, and in coordination with the Rapid Response Intelligence Department, indicating that" the wanted person was duly handed over to the requesting party."
