Deputy Speaker of Iraqi Parliament Hassan al-Kaabi called on the legislative authority to support the peaceful protests as long as it goes by the constitution and law.
He also called on PM Adel Abdul Mahdi to open an investigation around yesterday’s events and listen to their demands.
Al-Kaabi added that the parliament presidency ordered the committees of Security, Defense and Human rights to open a parliamentary investigation around the updates of the protests and that the committees are making the required procedures to maintain the rights of the people.
