INA – BAGHDAD
PM Adel Abdul Mahdi and United States Secretary of State Mike Pompeo discussed during a phone call on Monday, the attacks on the brotherly country Saudi Arabia.
The two discussed the attacks on Saudi Arabia and both evaluated the current crisis and agreed to cooperate in terms of exchanging information.
Abdul Mahdi asserted Iraq’s mission to maintain security and stability as well as avoiding and escalation and preventing any side of using Iraqi lands to attack any other brotherly and friendly countries.
“Iraq’s policy is to be in a positive role to solve crises that the region is going through lately and pushing away the ghost of war from Iraq and the whole region to depend the policy of dialogues,” said Abdul Mahdi.
On his part, Pompeo asserted the information they have is that Iraq is indeed never accept to use their lands to attack any other country in such an attack.
