Speaker of the House of Representatives Mahmoud Al-Mashhadani and the President of the Supreme Islamic Council of Iraq Sheikh Humam Hamoudi discussed today, Monday, the entitlements and challenges of the stage.
The media office of the President of the Supreme Council stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that "Sheikh Hamoudi received the Speaker of the House of Representatives Mahmoud Al-Mashhadani, and congratulated him on gaining confidence and winning the presidency of the council, and discussed with him the entitlements and challenges of the stage and national aspirations."
Sheikh Hamoudi stressed according to the statement that "completing the constitutional entitlements is a reinforcement of the stability of the political process, which is positively reflected on the various paths of the state and the performance of its institutions."
He added, "The strength of the oversight role of the parliament is a source of strength for the government, and we hope that the legislative and executive authorities will work in a spirit of partnership, cooperation and integration in completing the government program and approving suspended and stalled laws."
