The Arab Parliament condemned on Sunday targeting the Saudi hospital in Al-Fashir, western Sudan, which resulted in the killing and wounding of a number of innocent citizens.
“Targeting public facilities, medical and civilian facilities is a flagrant violation of all international laws, charters and norms, especially international law," said the Arab Parliament in a statement followed by the Iraqi News Agency – INA.
The Arab Parliament called for the necessity of providing full protection for health and humanitarian workers and civilians, and not to involve infrastructure and medical facilities in the ongoing crisis.
The Parliament also called on all parties to "commit to implementing the Jeddah Declaration signed on April 15th, 2023, by ceasefire, the necessity of respecting and protecting public facilities, avoiding targeting innocent civilians, and working to end the Sudanese crisis by reaching a sustainable peaceful solution."
