The UN Security Council condemned the violence in Latakia and Tartous in Syria on Friday.
The UN Security Council held a meeting where the presidential statement was adopted by the United States and Russia condemning the violence in Latakia and Tartous in Syria.
In its statement, the Council condemned "the attacks on civil infrastructure, especially hospitals in Syria."
The Council expressed his "great concern about the impact of violence in Syria on the escalation of tension between the sects," calling on "all parties in Syria to immediately stop violence and incitement to ensure the protection of civilians and infrastructure."
The Security Council urged Syria to "take decisive measures to address the threat posed by foreign terrorists, and to hold the perpetrators of mass killings."
Also, the Council called for, "conducting quick, transparent and independent investigations by international standards to ensure that all perpetrators in Syria are presented to justice."
