The Lebanese Parliament convenes to choose the country's president

    To elect a new president of the republic, the Lebanese parliament convened its session on Thursday.  

    According to the media, "today's session of the Lebanese Parliament was devoted to the election of a new president of the republic."


    "The session was attended by French presidential envoy Jean-Yves Le Drian and Lebanese caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati," media said.
