The Ministry of Migration and Displacement announced today, Sunday, that it received 96 Iraqis returning from the Syrian-Turkish border.
The ministry stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "under the direction of the Minister of Migration and Displacement, Evan Faeq Jabro, the ministry received a new batch of voluntary Iraqis returning, numbering 96 Iraqi citizens returning from the areas of (Tal Abyad, Ras al-Ain, Idlib and Azaz) on the Syrian-Turkish border to the homeland."
The Director General of the Department of Migration Affairs and Head of the Committee for Receiving Returning Iraqis, Safaa Hussein Ahmed, said according to the statement that "this is the last batch this year of Iraqis returning from Syria via Turkish territory from the Ibrahim al-Khalil crossing."
