Iraq vs Saudi Arabia match kicks off, Arabian Gulf Cup 26

    The match between the Iraqi national team and its Saudi counterpart kicked off on Saturday - a short while ago - as part of the matches of Group Two - the third round of the Arabian Gulf Cup 26 hosted by Kuwait in the period between December 21st, 2024, and January 3rd, 2025.

    The match is being held at Jaber Al-Ahmad International Stadium in the Kuwaiti capital, to be live broadcasted on the Iraqiya Sports TV Channel.

    The Iraqi national team seeks to snatch the match points to accompany Bahrain in its second group to the semi-finals of the championship, while the Saudi team will play with the options of winning or drawing.

    The two teams are equal, and each of them has 3 points from their victory over Yemen, but the goal difference is in favor of Saudi Arabia after it defeated Yemen 3-2, while Iraq was satisfied with a single goal in its competitor's goal.

    The match will be overseen by the Romanian international referee Kovacs.
