Iran's Supreme Leader, Sayyid Ali Khamenei, emphasized on Wednesday that Lebanon and Yemen are symbols of resistance, noting that the Islamic Revolution is still alive.
In his speech during his attendance at the commemoration of the fifth anniversary of the martyrdom of the leaders of victory, at the Imam Khomeini Husseiniya (may God be pleased with him), which was followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), Sayyid Khamenei said: “Defending the holy shrines and Al-Aqsa Mosque is one of the firm principles of Hajj Qassem Soleimani,” warning “against countries removing the factors of their stability and authority from the scene, as it will become like the situation in Syria."
He added, "Thousands from inside and outside Iran visit the shrine of Martyr Qassem Soleimani, and this honor is God's reward for Martyr Soleimani's sincerity in this world," indicating that "Martyr Soleimanirole in jihad was irreplaceable, and his fixed strategy was to revive the resistance front."
Khamenei continued, "Defending the Zainabiya Shrine, the holy shrines in Iraq, and Al-Aqsa Mosque was part of his established principles."
In response to those who say that the blood of the martyrs who defended the holy sites was lost with the recent events, Khamenei stressed that “if it were not for these souls and jihad, there would be no news today about the holy shrines in Karbala, Najaf, and the holy Zainabiya shrine."
He pointed out that "Lebanon and Yemen are symbols of resistance, and they will be victorious, God willing," praising "the role of the martyr, Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, alongside the martyr Soleimani in the battles," describing him as "a great man."
