The Joint Operations Command confirmed, on Wednesday, that the fatwa of the religious authority is the main point and turning point in making Iraq victories over the terrorist elements of ISIS, while it indicated working with the international community to pursue the remnants of the terrorist ISIS.
The spokesman for the Joint Operations Command, Tahseen Al-Khafaji, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The seventh anniversary of the liberation of our land from the terrorist organization ISIS, which was achieved by the sacrifices of the security forces, the people, and the blood of the martyrs, is what made the victory," indicating that "the great work, effort, and heroism provided by our people from the security forces contributed greatly to the liberation of the land of Iraq."
He added, "We now enjoy security and safety thanks to the efforts of the security forces, capabilities, capacities and armament in controlling the borders and dealing with challenges, as the security forces have been pursuing the remnants of the terrorist ISIS organization since the days of liberation until now," noting that "the international community had a role in the field of organizing, training and armament of the security forces."
He stressed that "the fatwa of the religious authority is the main point and the turning point in making these victories, so we pledge to our people that the security forces will continue at the same level of training and armament," noting that "Iraq is working with the international community to pursue and pursue what remains of these terrorist organizations."
