The Ministry of Defense(MOD) announced on Wednesday, the arrival of a security delegation headed by the Chief of Staff of the Army, Lieutenant General Special Forces, Abdul Amir Rashid Yarallah, to the Iraqi-Syrian border strip.
A statement by MOD received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) stated that "a security delegation headed by the Chief of Staff of the Army, Lieutenant General Special Forces, Abdul Amir Rashid Yarallah, and the Deputy Commander of Joint Operations, arrived today to the Iraqi-Syrian border strip, accompanied by the Operations Assistant, the Commander of the Land Forces, the Commander of the Ninth Armored Division, and the Deputy Director of Military Intelligence."
The statement added that "the purpose of the visit was to follow up on the deployment of security forces and the opening of defense lines."
