The Joint Operations Command announced today, Monday, that the Iraqi warplanes targeted a terrorist detachment in Zarqa area in Salahuddin.
The Joint Operations Command said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "Based on the directives of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Mohammed Shia al-Sudani, on the importance of continuing the offensive work carried out by our heroic security forces, in tracking down the defeated terrorist elements, the field work and distinguished efforts of the brave men in the Military Intelligence Directorate continued with their optimal use of technical and human monitoring resources in coordination, cooperation and planning with the targeting cell in the Joint Operations Command, as a terrorist hideout was monitored in Hawi al-Labwa in Zarqa area within Salahuddin Operations Command."
It added, "Based on this accurate information, F_16 aircraft carried out an air strike during which they targeted this hideout and killed the ISIS terrorist gangs inside it after completely destroying it," noting that "there is no place for terrorism in the land of the brave."
