The Chief of Staff of the Army, Special Forces Lieutenant General Abdul al-Amir Rashid Yarallah, discussed on Monday, prospects for military cooperation with the Dragon Group in London.
A statement by the Ministry of Defense, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated, "The Chief of Staff of the Army, Lieutenant General, Special Forces, Staff Abdul Amir Rashid Yarallah, attended the meeting of the Dragon Group of Chiefs of Staff of the armies of Britain - Iraq - the Gulf Cooperation Council countries - Jordan - Egypt in London."
The statement added, "The meeting aims to discuss military relations, discuss prospects for military cooperation, raise the military capabilities of the Iraqi army, and enhance military training opportunities."
It pointed out that "the Army Chief of Staff, Lieutenant General Abdul Amir Rashid Yarallah, has participated in the meetings of the Dragon Group in London for the past two years (2021-2022) as the first army chief of staff to represent Iraq in London with the participation of eleven countries."
