Marking a journey that began in 1959, the Iraqi News Agency (INA) will celebrate its 65th anniversary on November 9, continuing its longstanding commitment to accuracy, credibility, and objectivity. Over the decades, INA has upheld its national duty, serving as a trusted voice of truth and the primary, swiftest source of information.
Looking toward the future, INA pledges to sustain its upward path with continuous, diligent efforts to enhance its content, and technical capabilities, further solidifying its position as a leading news source in Iraq. With a growing audience base, INA draws its strength from being both the voice of the state and the people.
As INA marks its 65th year, congratulations have poured in from government officials, who praised the agency’s dedication to its media mission and unwavering commitment to enhancing its credibility.
A Constructive National Role
In this regard, Deputy Chair of the Parliamentary Committee on Labor and Civil Society Organizations, MP Hussein Arab, extended his congratulations to INA, stating, “We congratulate the Iraqi News Agency on its 65th anniversary; it has always been a generous and highly impartial bearer of news.”
He highlighted the agency’s widespread trust, adding, “INA’s persistent efforts and seamless transfer of expertise from one generation to the next have left a lasting mark, ensuring its continuous development and alignment with advancements in digital journalism and foreign news agencies.”
He added, “We wish the Iraqi News Agency and its staff all the best and hope they continue to embrace the latest advancements.”

Deputy Minister of Agriculture Mahdi Suhair Al-Jubouri also congratulated INA on its 65th anniversary, noting, “This distinguished media institution has proven its professionalism and credibility, serving as a vital supporter of the state in promoting security and stability.”
He pointed out that “INA has stood as a free and professional platform, consistently showcasing all achievements and activities within Iraq’s agricultural sector.”
Likewise, Ministry of Agriculture spokesperson Mohammed Al-Khuzaie offered his congratulations, stating, “The Iraqi News Agency has played an outstanding role in highlighting Iraq’s issues, advocating for the nation, and standing as a voice of truth.”
He emphasized that INA’s success stems from the combined efforts of its team, from the general manager to all colleagues, adding that “its achievements reflect the success of constructive and professional Iraqi media.”
Deputy Head of the Government Media Team Adnan Al-Arabi also extended his congratulations, recognizing INA as one of the pioneering agencies in truth-telling.
Al-Arabi noted, “INA distingushed in the media landscape, consistently delivering accurate news and upholding the truth. Today, we celebrate INA’s journey as it lights a new candle in the world of journalism.”

Mohammed Hanoun, Deputy Head of the Journalists Syndicate and spokesperson for the Ministry of Trade, also congratulated INA, expressing, “On the 65th anniversary of INA’s establishment, I am pleased to congratulate all my colleagues who work at this distinguished agency, which has carved out a prominent place in Iraqi journalism and media.”
