Najaf Criminal Court: Life imprisonment for drug dealers

    Najaf Criminal Court issued on Tuesday,  two life sentences against two drug dealers for the crime of drug trafficking.
     
    The media center of the Supreme Judicial Council stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that "the first convict was found in possession of (1500) tablets of the narcotic amphetamine, while narcotic substances were found in possession of the second convict."
     
    The statement added that "the two rulings were issued based on the provisions of Articles 27/First and 28/First of the Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances Law No. 50 of 2017."
