Popular demonstrations were made on Friday in support of the supreme authority and the Palestinian and Lebanese peoples in Karbala, Iraq.

"Crowds from various Iraqi provinces demonstrated in the holy Karbala to support the supreme authority in its position on the criminal acts committed by the usurping Zionist entity and the killing of innocent civilians from the Lebanese and Palestinian peoples," said the reporter of the Iraqi News Agency - INA.

He quoted the demonstrators as saying that "they stand today with the wise positions of the religious authority and denounce any harm. The support for the Lebanese and Palestinian peoples in their just war with the usurping Zionist enemy will continue."

They showed that they "are ready to defend the position of the authority because it is a safety valve for Iraqis and Muslims alike, and they confirmed their readiness to defend Iraq from any external aggression."
