The Speaker of the Iranian Shura Council, Mohammad Baqer Ghalibaf, confirmed today, Saturday, that there will be an air bridge between Iran and Lebanon to provide aid to the Lebanese people while indicating that Iran will support all decisions issued by the Lebanese government and resistance.
Ghalibaf said in a press conference from the headquarters of the Lebanese parliament in Beirut, which was followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "I carry the message of the Iranian leadership to Lebanon, which is that it will continue to stand by the Lebanese people in these difficult circumstances."
He added, "I will head to participate in the World Conference of Speakers of Parliament in Geneva and convey the Lebanese people's suffering to the world."
He continued, "There will be an air bridge between Iran and Lebanon to provide aid," stressing "support for Lebanon against the Zionist aggression."
He pointed out, "I mentioned in my meeting with Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati that Iran is ready to provide all possible assistance to the Lebanese people through the government," explaining that "we will support all decisions issued by the government and the Lebanese resistance."
He concluded, "I offer my condolences to the Lebanese people for the martyrdom of the Master of the Resistance, Secretary-General of Hezbollah, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah."
