PM congratulates our national team on their victory over the Palestinian Team

Prime Minister Mohammed Shia’ Al-Sudani congratulated our national team for their victory over the Palestinian team, while also praising the Palestinian team for their outstanding performance.

Al-Sudani said in a post on the platform (X), which was followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA)," We salute the Palestinian national football team for coming to Iraq and competing against our national football team in Basra in the 2026 FIFA World Cup Asian qualifiers. Their participation delivers a strong message of resilience and courage against the occupying forces perpetrating crimes in Gaza and the occupied territories, demonstrating that the will to live triumphs over violence and destruction. We congratulate our national football team on their victory and commend the Palestinian football team for their remarkable performance."
