The Zionist entity adds a new crime that violates the status of the supreme religious authority in Iraq to its ongoing crimes in the region and against its peoples, as stated in a statement obtained by the Iraqi News Agency (INA)."The Movement strongly condemns and denounces the blatant attack that affects Muslims and the reference of the millions, His Eminence the Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Ali al-Sistani, may Allah protect him, which is a provocation to the feelings of believers and honorable people around the world," the statement reads.

"The reference is the object of respect and appreciation of all Muslims and free people of different components, religions, and sects because of its principled positions in supporting the oppressed and defending their rights away from the sectarianism, but the broad title is the human being wherever he is," the statement continued. "We strongly believe that the supreme religious authority in Najaf remains a towering beacon and a key pillar in maintaining civil peace and national security in Iraq and the region as a whole."

The Movement pointed out that "compromising this great reference is not a targeting of a specific component or sect, but rather a targeting of all the sons of Iraq, and all those loyal to Ahl al-Bayt peace be upon them in the wholr world," indicating that "we condemn this brutal transgression on our supreme authority, which represents the voice of wisdom and moderation in a time of ideologically chaos manufactured and by the West

    and its Zionist protégé."

It   continued: "These heinous acts come from a desperate and monstrous entity, it has its compass in the face of the valiant resistance that withstood in the field and thwarted its plans throughout a year of aggression, which prompted it to follow despicable methods, by mixing cards and involving sacred religious symbols in his sterile conflicts," stressing that "the religious reference is Iraq's shield fortified, and will not be affected by those despicable conspiracies."
