The Abbasid Holy Shrine launched on Monday, the third convoy of aid, as part of its campaign to support and relief the Lebanese people, after the recent Zionist attacks.
The holy shrine said in a statement obtained by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the convoy set off from the holy city of Karbala in the presence of the Secretary-General of the Abbasid Shrine, Mr. Mustafa Murtada Al Diaa Al-Din, the head of the relief committee, Mr. Muhammad Al-Ashiqer, and the director of the office of the legal Mutawali, Mr. Afzal Al-Shami."
According to the statement, Mr. Al-Diaa Al-Din said that "the relief campaign is a continuation of the previous humanitarian campaigns of the Abbasid shrine, and it comes in response to the call of the supreme religious authority in Najaf, and the directives of its legitimate leader, Mr. Ahmed Al-Safi, to do what contributes to alleviating the suffering of the Lebanese people and securing their humanitarian needs."
