The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran summoned the Australian ambassador to Tehran on Sunday, in protest against the unjustified and biased positions of the Australian government towards regional developments.
The Iranian Foreign Ministry stated in a statement followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "due to the repeated biased positions and violations of international law standards of the Australian government regarding recent developments in the region, the ambassador of this country to Tehran, Ayam McCanville, was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs by the Director General of the Asia-Pacific region in the ministry."
