Press reports confirmed, today, Saturday, that Barcelona Club is waiting for Nico Williams, the winger of Athletic Bilbao, to approve its offer and give him a deadline to join the ranks of Barca.
Barcelona made an official offer to Williams' agent over a week ago. He is waiting for the player's approval to activate the release clause in his contract with Athletic Bilbao (worth 58 million euros).
According to Spanish radio station Cadena Ser, sources within the Catalan club confirmed that Blaugrana officials plan to wait until August 12 for Williams' response to the offer.
The Spanish radio station indicated that "Williams will return to training with Athletic Bilbao on that date."
It is worth noting that Williams was also linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain this summer, but reports said that the player had already rejected the French champions' offer because he did not want to leave La Liga.
